Week 12

Well, around this time things started to get fun, because I was nearing the end of the first trimester (depending on which book you read, either the end of week 12 or 13), and we started telling more people about Baby Batts. It was so great to finally start sharing our news with friends and more family. It's nice to be able to explain why you have been missing from events, not getting out much, etc...and so fun to just share our joy and excitement!! We were able to tell a lot of friends at church on Mother's Day, which was perfect timing as it fell right in the middle of my 12th week (I even got a rose that they gave out to all of the mothers..and mothers-to-be). I think it was around this time that the morning sickness started easing up a little bit too. It wasn't gone at this point, but it was definitely starting to space out more, with more good days in between episodes. My bump also started growing a little bit (at least to me!)...here is a pic from around that time.
